Sporting activities in Strasbourg

Strasbourg has a large number of sports facilities enabling you to take part both in the most common sports (football, swimming…) and in those which are less widespread (climbing, golf, sailing…) whether indoors or outdoors.

Swimming, canoeing, water sports, sailing, horse riding, combat sports, boules, golf, squash, tennis, fitness, aerial sports, flying, gliding, and parachuting are just some of the activities in which you can indulge freely or as part of an association or club.

If you enjoy walking, skiing, mountain biking, climbing, or paragliding, the Black Forest and the Vosges are the ideal locations, as they are close to Strasbourg and have a number of tourist trails (more than 10,000 kilometers of tracks signposted by the Club Vosgien) and accommodation options such as refuges and farms.

 You will never have time to get bored with the many opportunities to spend a night on the town. Apart from the various cultural events, Strasbourg boasts a number of celebrated restaurants, which guarantee an entertaining start to the evening, and nearly a hundred bars, night clubs, and cinemas to bring your night out to a very pleasant close.

Good food

Good food in Strasbourg comes in a number of guises, delighting the tastebuds with traditional food, the pleasures of home cooking and the savours of haute cuisine. You can find flavours typical of your country of origin or discover those of the local cuisine.
